5 days | Independent tour | Dec-Feb | Levi to Kittilä
This six-day family winter adventure takes you into the heart of Finnish Lapland, combining the buzz and energy of Levi, one of Finland's premier ski resorts, with the serene magic of glass accommodation under the Arctic sky at Northern Lights Village Levi. Designed by our local Nordic specialists, the itinerary balances exhilarating winter activities with quieter, more intimate moments, ensuring children and adults alike come away with memories they will treasure for years.
Levi itself is a destination worth celebrating. Lively, well-equipped and endlessly entertaining, the resort offers excellent skiing and snowboarding, ski schools and equipment rental, a family spa, a wide choice of restaurants and a festive atmosphere that feels tailor-made for a winter family holiday. Free time on days two and three gives families every opportunity to make the most of everything the resort has to offer, whether that means hitting the slopes, relaxing at the spa or simply exploring at your own pace.
Beyond Levi, the activities on offer are among the finest the region has to give. You will mush your own husky team through pristine Arctic forest, go ice fishing on a frozen lake, explore the wilderness by snowmobile, and hunt for the Northern Lights from the comfort of a heated sleigh.
The undisputed highlight, however, is Santa Day. Your family will spend a festive day with the elves exploring Santa Claus's new home, following the Elves' Paths through the forest to the Elves' Hideaway, where you can bake gingerbread cookies in the Gingerbread House and take part in crafts at the Elf School. You will visit the elves' reindeer fence, where you can step inside and meet the reindeer up close, before exploring Santa's own home, his office, kitchen and wardrobe, and discovering the secret door that leads to a history room filled with the story of toys. The journey culminates in a private elevator ride to Santa's own room, where each family enjoys a completely private meeting with Santa himself. Santa gives a small gift to every child, and if you wish, you can hand him your own letter.
This tour is escorted throughout by one of our Nordic team members and is designed with young families in mind at every step. Those wishing to extend their stay and make the most of Levi's skiing beyond the tour dates are welcome to do so, and our team will be happy to arrange additional nights and ski details on your behalf.

Welcome to Levi, one of Finnish Lapland's most beloved destinations and a place that feels, especially in winter, like somewhere the rest of the world has yet to catch up with. Snow-covered fells, frozen lakes, and vast silent forests stretch out in every direction, and the Arctic sky above holds the promise of the northern lights after dark. Settle in and let the magic of Lapland begin to work on you.
A day that brings Lapland's oldest traditions to life. Visit a traditional Lappish village and discover the culture and way of life of the people who have called this extraordinary landscape home for generations. Later, climb aboard a reindeer sleigh for a gentle glide through the snow-draped wilderness, one of those rare experiences that feels every bit as wonderful as it sounds, and one the whole family will be talking about long after you return home.
Few days can rival this one for sheer wonder. Head to the elves' village for a visit to Santa's very own workshop, a genuinely magical experience set deep in the Lappish forest. Whether little ones are wide-eyed with excitement or older members of the family are simply enjoying watching them, this is the kind of day that stays with you.
In the morning, a husky safari takes you deep into the Arctic forest, pulled by a team of energetic and enthusiastic dogs through a landscape of breathtaking stillness and beauty. It is an unforgettable way to experience Lapland at its most raw and exhilarating. Later, transfer to the Northern Lights Village, your glass igloo home for the final nights of your holiday, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Arctic sky and give you the best possible chance of witnessing the aurora borealis from the warmth of your bed.
A full day of Arctic adventure awaits. Set out by heated sleigh beneath the darkening sky in search of the northern lights, a wonderfully atmospheric way to experience one of nature's greatest spectacles. A snowmobile safari brings a rush of excitement through the frozen forest, and ice fishing offers a quieter, more contemplative side of Lapland life, dropping a line through the ice of a frozen lake and waiting in the company of the Arctic silence around you.
After a final morning in this remarkable corner of the world, a private transfer takes you onward. If you would like to extend your Lapland adventure or combine this holiday with nights in Helsinki, we would be delighted to help with ideas.
