5 days - Lakeside Suites in Finland with autumn auroras and outdoor adventures
Discover the magic of Pyhä on this short holiday in Finland. Your accommodation has floor to ceiling windows letting you view the early autumn Northern Lights and the magnificent lakeside forests. Spend the days participating in adventurous activities such as a husky farm visit, meet the reindeer and Northern Light hunting by car. Each evening, unwind in your own suite with sauna, open living area and kitchen.
Included in your stay is a private lake sauna experience and drop hot tub, and special Northern Lights photography tuition on the lake. Additional optional activities can include guided hiking, fat biking, Amethyst-mine tour, canoeing and fishing. Breakfast and dinner are included.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Rovaniemi, transfer to Pyhätunturi and settle into your suite
Arrive Rovaniemi and private transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to Pyhätunturi, located about 100 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle.
Pyhätunturi is located in the middle of Finnish Lapland and is home to this new resort. Sit back and enjoy the open fire in the lobby on your arrival or relax in your private suite with a sauna.
Dinner at the hotel's restaurant tonight. Be sure to relax in your private little sauna to warm up this evening before bed.

1 DinnerDay 2 - Meet the Reindeers and Lake Sauna Experience
Reindeer husbandry is a significant livelihood in Lapland. Reindeer herding as a way of life, in its current form, is at least 500 years old. Have you ever wondered how the reindeer can survive through winters and where the reindeers get their food? you will learn about these amazing creatures on a visit to a local reindeer farm.
Relax with a private sauna and outdoor jacuzzi by the lake. Get warmed up in the heat of the sauna, sit by the outdoor patio and have an ice swim if you are feeling brave.

Day 3 - Guided Husky Farm Visit
Experience life on a small, family-run husky farm and discover fascinating insights into these incredible dogs and their daily routines. Originating from polar regions, huskies are perfectly adapted to cold climates and are renowned as hardworking sled dogs that absolutely love to run. During this interactive visit, you’ll have the chance to meet and bond with the friendly huskies, learn about their training, and see how they’re cared for.

Day 4 - Northern Lights Chase by Car
Today is a free day for activities and relaxing. After dinner at the hotel, head out by car in search of the magical Northern Lights. We will driver through the snowy landscapes and find the best spot to see the lights, hoping that the skies are clear tonight.
Your guides will make a campfire and you hear interesting facts about Northern lights, Lappish nature and history. The tour also consists information about how to photograph Northern Lights and the guide will help you with your photo settings.

Day 5 - Winter Adventures in Pyhä
On your second day, you’ll continue with the remaining elements of your programme, scheduled by the resort. These may include the eco‑friendly electric snowmobile safari across the fells, the thrilling 5 kilometre husky safari through frozen landscapes, the visit to a traditional reindeer farm with a peaceful sleigh ride and soup lunch, or the aurora quest by car.
As the day winds down, you’ll return to your accommodation for a relaxed evening, reflecting on your Arctic experiences and the unforgettable landscapes you’ve explored.

Practical information about Scandinavian Hotels
Beds and room types. Hotel rooms across Scandinavia are typically furnished with twin beds that can be pushed together to form a double. Single rooms tend to be smaller than doubles and usually have a shower rather than a bath. Purpose-built triple or family rooms are uncommon. If three people are sharing, expect a standard double room with an extra bed added, which means noticeably less space than a purpose-built triple would offer.
Luggage. Porters are rare at Scandinavian hotels. You will generally carry your own bags, so pack with this in mind, particularly on itineraries with frequent hotel changes.
Wi-fi. Free wi-fi is standard across the vast majority of Scandinavian hotels at all price points.
Tea and coffee. Unlike hotels in many other parts of the world, Scandinavian accommodation at the 3-star level rarely provides in-room tea and coffee facilities. There may be a kettle, but often nothing to go with it. Many hotels do offer complimentary tea and coffee in the reception area or lobby, so it is worth asking on arrival. If this matters to you, it is worth checking with us beforehand or bringing a small supply of your own.
Lunch in winter. On itineraries that include lunch during the winter months, expect a warm soup with bread rather than a full cooked meal. This is entirely typical across the region and often very good.
Remote hotels in Lapland. At more remote properties in the far north, the hotel or lodge where you are staying will be your only realistic dining option for dinner. This is entirely normal and nothing to be concerned about. Menus are typically limited to one or two main course choices, but the food is generally home-cooked and reflects the local landscape and ingredients well.
Laundry. Self-service washing machines and dryers are typically located in the basement. If you are staying in apartment-style accommodation and cannot find them, ask at reception.
